We got to the park and there were so many ducks and birds that greeted us. The ducks seemed tame and friendly and Arin was able to pet them. She thought this was awesome. Then, we pulled out the bread. Ducks are greedy! Arin was trying to feed them, but there was so many ducks around and they were impatient and they started nipping at her hands to get the bread. This, of course, scared her and she wanted to be held. This made the experience less fun. She still fed the birds, but we had to hold her the whole time.
There was one menace duck - the one that was nipping at her. He was also biting at Andy's jeans and my toes!
Andy was having fun feeding the ducks. He'd hold a piece of bread in his hand, where the ducks could just barely get to it, and he'd hand feed them. Some of the ducks would even jump for the food.Ella was in the stroller, so when it was time to go to the playground, Arin wanted to ride in the stroller too, but the ducks were still around, so she tucked herself as far into the stroller as she could!
The ducks didn't follow us to the playground, so she was finally able to relax and she had a blast playing. I wish the weather would stay this nice outside for a while.
