C is for...

...cute children



...capybara (the world's largest rodent)

...Chinese food and chopsticks. Most Sundays, Andy and Arin go together to get Chinese food for lunch. Arin is getting very good with her chopsticks.

...corn on the cob, which is fun to peel, great to eat, and also fun to paint and to paint with!

...corn cob painting.

...color mixing.

...cuddling. I am so thankful for the bond that Arin and Ella have.

...cars and car playmat.

...cereal counting. Arin is learning how to count backwards and she is also learning how to count by 5's.

...crayons.

...coloring. This was a fun activity. Arin drew something on the paper. She told me it was the beach. So I told her that I wanted to draw something. I drew a tree. Then, Arin drew something, and then I drew something and so on until we finished the picture.


...tracing circles.

...clothespin clock games. I drew a clock face with the numbers and I put the big hang on the clock. Then, I would tell Arin to find a certain time (example: 5 o'clock) and she would put the clothespin on the 5. This was more of a number recognition game, but introducing clocks also.

...chores. I do not look forward to the day when chores are no longer fun! For now, Arin loves to feed the cats, help fold wash cloths and cloth baby wipes, hang clothes, and start the dishwasher. Helping to clean-up has already become more of a hassle and less of a joy to her. I am sure it'll only be a matter of time before this is her reaction to all of her chores.

...chocolate chip crescent rolls (and regular ones too!).

...computer games.

...cheese grating.

...crocheting. Ok, so this didn't work out as well as planned, but I try to expose her to as many learning opportunities as possible, so we'll try it again another time.
