First Annual Family Fun Day

We decided to have our first family fun day on Friday because Daddy already had the day off from work. After Arin went to bed on Thursday, Uncle Todd helped me blow up a package of balloons. Then he piled them all together in the living room. It was a nice surprise for Arin when she woke up Friday morning.

Our first activity for the day was to go to the water park. We had never taken Arin to the waterpark, so this was very special. She had a blast. We went to the two kiddie areas and also to the wave pool. At first she was scared to go down the slide in the kiddie area, but soon it became her favorite part of the park. We stayed at the waterpark for a little over two hours. Then we went home and had lunch. After lunch, Arin took her nap and Andy and Todd went to the movies.
When Arin woke from her nap, Aunt T (Candace) was here to join us for the rest of Family Fun Day. I made pizza. Then we went to Chuck E Cheese. Arin had a lot of fun there too. She loved the slide. She had fun playing the games, but I think her favorite part was putting the tokens in the machines! She also enjoyed feeding the tickets into the ticket counter.

After Chuck E. Cheese, we took Arin to Wal-Mart where we let her pick out a toy. We had $30 left for this, so she ended up picking two toys. We let her do this completely on her own. She picked one of those popper toys that you push. She also picked a baby doll. I was glad that she picked a baby doll because we can't find her other baby doll. She named the baby "Ella" which is what we are planning on naming the new baby. She spent much of the weekend feeding "Ella" a bottle and carrying her around in her carseat.

After Wal-Mart, we made our last stop for the day. We went to Cold Stone Creamery and got ice cream. Arin had strawberry ice cream (because it is pink) with mini chocolate chips mixed in.

It was a very fun day and we have already started saving our change for next year's Family Fun Day!
