The Magic of Tide

As I wrote about earlier in the week, I had a temporary moment of poor judgement when I gave Ella blue ice cream (with no bib).  As I mentioned, she spilled it all over her new jacket.  I wash laundry only on Tuesdays and Fridays, so the blue stain sat and dried into the jacket for three days, as I hadn't even attempted to soak it or pretreat the stain prior to wash day.  As I was loading the washer that morning with our pink/red/purple load, I remembered that I needed to treat that stain.  So I quickly ran the jacket under the water, sprinkled some Tide powder on it, put a little more water on it to make a paste, rubbed it in and threw it in the washing machine.  When the load was done - we had a stain-free jacket!

My in-laws only use Tide, but I was always to cheap to spend the money on it until the past few months when I realized that it really does do the best job.  Now that is our must have splurge.  We buy it in bulk when it is on sale because we like it that much!

And that is why my in-laws refer to it as "Magic Paste"!

That is awesome! Nothing makes a mom happier than getting out an awful stain!
